RULES AND REGULATIONS
General PolicyLeave your personal belongings such as handbags, briefcases, etc., outside the library entrance, on your own responsibility. The library disclaims any liability for loss or damage.
Submit any book or object for inspection, when requested by the library staff.
Do not write, underline or mark any book. Library books are carefully examined on return and the borrower will be held responsible for the damage.
After reading, leave books on the table or on the book trolley. Please do not shelve the books.
Complete silence should be observed except for brief and subdued talk with the library staff.
Good order must be observed in the library at all times for example placing of feet on the furniture, eating and drinking, smoking, sleeping etc. will not be allowed.
No reader shall remain in the Library after the time fixed for its closing.
Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.
Make sure you have provided correct Mobile Number and Address while filling your library membership form.
All borrowed materials must be returned on or before the due date.
Ask for help from library staff if you are unable to find your required material.
Library materials may not be removed from the library unless the library staff has properly issued them out.
While returning library books or other materials at the Circulation Desk please ensure that the circulation staff has returned the book(s).
Users are not allowed to log in using their personal passwords at the search computers or to access the internet from there. Do not shut down the Resourcemate program after you are through with your search.
Users are expected to observe the following rules while using the library services; any violation of these rules will incur appropriate disciplinary action.
The following materials can only be used within the library.

Damage/ Loss of Library Materials
All users will be held responsible for any damage or loss of library materials in their possession and will be required to meet the cost of replacement and processing.
Users must ensure that the books they borrow are in good condition to avoid being held responsible for any damages noted while returning the books.
Lost books must be reported to the librarian immediately and replaced or paid for within 30 days.
In case of lost Library Card, please immediately report to the circulation staff so that your membership is temporarily blocked to prevent misuse of the Library Card. Once you get a replacement, please inform circulation staff so that your memberships can be re-activated.
Exclusion from the Use of the Library
The library committee shall have the power to suspend or exclude from use of the library any user who disregards the library rules and regulations.
The library staffs have the right to ask students to leave the library if they are behaving inappropriately or causing disturbance to other users.
